Submerged arc welding includes submerged arc welding and electroslag welding, etc. Submerged arc welding is a method of arc welding under the solder layer. Its inherent welding quality is stable, welding productivity is high, no arc and dust and it has some other advantages, make it as the main welding method of pressure vessel, pipe manufacturing, box beams and other important steel structure in the production.
In recent years, although there have been many kinds of efficient, high-quality new welding methods, but the application of submerged arc welding is still unaffected. From the viewpoint of the share of the weight of deposited metal in various fusion welding methods, submerged arc welding occupy about 10%, and has been little change over the years.
