The usual rare earth additives are cerium oxide, lanthanum oxide, zirconium oxide, yttrium oxide and thorium oxide, etc.

How to tell the difference between a tungsten electrode and a bad one?

1、The brighter and more even the surface, the less the abrasion marks and black spots, the better the tungsten electrode.
2、The less internal scars, the smaller the scars, the better the tungsten electrode.
3、The less negative difference in diameter, the more durable the tungsten electrode is.
4、The more stable the internal molecular structure of annealed tungsten electrode, but because the requirement of grinding tip is high and easy to fracture, it is not respected in the country instead, mainly used for export requirements, so it is a technical difficulty to do molecular stability without annealing.

Principle

The welding of tungsten electrode is the current through the whole tungsten electrode to the end, thus the more stable the tungsten molecular structure, the less current value used, the lower the power, thus the more durable, the more surface and internal defects, the greater the current output in use, the more heat generated, the faster the burnout, the internal if more defects, cracks, welding current will be large and unstable, easy to appear partial arc, bifurcation and other problems, so the flaw detection standard will later be used as one of the most important indicators of good or bad quality.
